Wilma Harper was born May 24, 1920, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of George and Delia (Brown) Michael. She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1936. On June 22, 1940, she was united in marriage to Paul B. Harper in Waterloo. He died July 1, 1984. She worked at Webster Nursery prior to raising her family and then worked at Tally-Ho Dressing Co., and then was night Hostess at the University of Northern Iowa residence halls.

Wilma is survived by her son, Tim K. (Beverly) Harper of Cherryvale, KS; daughter, Cindy A. Kruckeberg of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Jeremy, Trent, Sarah, Corrie, and Joe; great grandchildren, Hazel and Max; brother, George (Marion) Michael of Muscatine; and sisters, Betty Noss of Jackson, MI and Belva (Harvey) White of Waterloo.

Wilma died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark Harper; and brother, Carl Michael.

Private family services will occur Tuesday, with inurnment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls.
