Joyce Kuchenberg was born October 12, 1961, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Clair Jay and Lavonne Allene (Nesfield) Kuchenberg. She graduated from Tripoli High School in 1981. She had been employed at Exception Person, Inc. in Waterloo. She had a special love for all animals, especially horses and cats and loved spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her three brothers, Dennis of Eagle Grove, Randy of Waterloo, and Terry (Cathie) of Cedar Falls; sister, Suzan Woodard of Waterloo; niece, Jessica White of Waterloo; nephew, Weston Kuchenberg of Cedar Falls; step mother, Bernadette Kuchenberg of Marion, OH; and special cousins, Shirley and Everett Juhl of Cedar Falls.

Joyce died Sunday, February 12, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel in Cedar Falls, with interment in the New Barclay Township Cemetery, rural Jesup. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Richardson Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Cedar Falls, IA 50613 (319) 266-3525. Memorial contributions may be directed to Exceptional Persons, Inc. in Waterloo.
