WATERLOO — Loretta B. McCool, 87, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born June 28, 1925, in Menlo, daughter of Glen and Ada Duff Branson. She married William McCool on Oct. 27, 1942, in Waterloo.

She was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works and owned and operated her own beauty shop.

Survived by her husband; a son, James of Waterloo; a daughter, Debra Elliott of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Ronald; and two brothers, Raymond and Bill Branson.

Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Cemetery with inurnment there. There will be no visitation. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to Queen of Peace Catholic Church or St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
