WATERLOO — Margaret F. Parizek, 95, of Waterloo, formerly of Evansdale, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing & Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Tama County, daughter of Steve and Fannie Kvidera Zmolek. She married Marion F. Parizek on Jan. 14, 1938, in Kirksville, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1998.

Mrs. Parizek was employed at Rath Packing Co. for 21 years, retiring in 1970.

Survived by two sons, Jerry of Evansdale and Jim (Deb) of Dunkerton; a daughter, Janice (Joe) Wyles of Waterloo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jeannie Parizek; a brother, George Zmolek; and two sisters, Rose Kupka, and one in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with a 7 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
