CEDAR FALLS — Lorraine S. Mecca, 78, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994 at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Oak Park, 111., daughter of Frank and Nellie Mercuric Scarpace. She married Alfred E. Mecca. Mrs. Mecca was secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was past president of the Harlingen B.P.O.E. Does Drove No. 90.

Survived by her husband.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Harlington, with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park, La Feria, Texas. Graveside rites will be conducted by Harlingen B.P.O.E. Does Drove No. 90. There will be a 7 p.m. rosary today at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, Harlingen.
