WATERLOO - Lawrence Lee "Mick" Woodard, 86, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Jan. 23. 2002, at Covenant Medical Center of heart failure.

He was born April 27, 1915, in Rolette, N.D., son of Ernest and Amy Mole Woodard. He married Dorothy Rambousek in Marshalltown, in 1934. They were later divorced. He married Margaret E. Nelson Sept. 1, 1940, in Waterloo.

Mr. Woodard was employed at Chamberlain Manufacturing for 43 years, retiring in 1978.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Larry of Overland Park, Kan., and Michael and Mark both of Waterloo; a daughter, Barbara Swanson of Brownsdale, Minn.; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pearl Lee of Brandenton, Fla and Margaret Swanson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Stephen, in 1968 in Vietnam; two brothers, Harold and Paul; and two sisters, Florence Branson and Catherine Harris.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at South Waterloo Church of the Brethren, with 1 p.m. committal at Memorial Park Cemetery Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
