WATERLOO - Lela G. "Lee" Connor, 87, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Manor Care Health Services.

She was born May 14, 1919, in Hardin County, daughter of John A. and Grace Hoyt Ellison. She married Joe Nardicchio in 1939 in Waterloo, and they divorced in 1945. She then married Robert Connor in Waterloo in 1976. He died Feb. 18, 1985.

She graduated from Owasa High School. She was employed as a secretary in the service department of Larry Lange Ford and Crossroads Ford for 20 years.

She was past president of the American Women's Club.

Survived by a daughter, Nancy (Don) Saul of Waterloo; two stepsons, Tim Connor of La Porte City and Steve Connor of Sumner; two stepdaughters, Amy Nelsestuen of La Porte City and Beth Sewell of Texas; two grandchildren, Thomas J. Saul of Waterloo and Cameron (Dan) Hornsby of Tucson, Ariz.; four great-grandchildren, Macey and Austin Gabbert of Tucson and Grant and Reagan Saul of Waterloo; and a sister, Grace Lashbrook of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by five brothers, Leo, Ross, Wilber, John and Gerald Ellison.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and also for an hour before services at the church on Friday.
