WATERLOO - Dixie R. Cronan, 72, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Allen Hospital.

She was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Winterset, daughter of Ansel E. and Bessie Hudson Williams. She married Charles L. Cronan on April 28, 1951, in Waterloo. He died Dec. 4, 1985.

Survivors include: three sons, Mario "Mike" (Lynna) of Cedar Falls, Clyde "Jim" (Janice) and Patrick "Pat" (Teri), both of Evansdale; two daughters, Candy (Jerry) Brandt of New Hartford and Sundy Cronan of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Treasure Sanders of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by five great-grandchildren; a sister, Derelys Head; and a half-brother, Walter Williams.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
