Services for David D. Krsnak, 36, of 827 Reber Ave., will be 10:90 a.m. Monday at Grace Brethren Church. He was killed Thursday afternoon in a natural gas explosion while inspecting a farm field that was being tiled.

He was born Dec. 25, 1955, at Centerville, son of George H. and Geraldine Nedved Krsnak. He married Vicki York Sept. 2, 1978*, at Des Moines. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1974 and Iowa State University in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in agronomy. He was the district soil conservationist for the Black Hawk County Soil Conservation Commission since September 1980. Before that, he worked in Sioux City and Ida Grove as a soil conservationist.

Survivors include his wife; his parents of Centerville; a brother, Douglas of Beatrice, Neb.; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Tillie Nedved of Wagner, S.D.

Friends may call at Garden View Chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be given to the Campus Crusade for Christ or to a scholarship fund to be established with the Black Hawk County Soil Conservation Commission.
