Cedar Falls—Mrs. Herman Rekers, 78, for more than 50 years a resident of this vicinity, died at 4 a.m. Thursday at her home, 1700 Clay Street. Mrs. Rekers suffered three strokes in the last seven weeks, the last one on Monday.
Native of Illinois - Cecilia* Byvank was born August 19, 1855*, in the state of Illinois. She was married to Herman Rekers in April of 1882 and since that time had lived in Cedar Falls or vicinity.
Four Sons, One Daughter - Surviving are the husband, four sons and one daughter, F. W. Rekers and Arthur A. Rekers. Cedar Falls; Ervin Rekers, Dunkerton; W. A. Rekers, Watertown. S. D., and Mrs, R. T. West, Churdan, la.

Held on SundayCedar Falls—Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Rekers, 78, were held Sunday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal Church. Rev. Earle Baker, pastor, officiated. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Rekers died at her home, 1709 Clay Street, Thursday.
