WATERLOO — Richard D. Nichols, 85, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, June 13. 2013.

He was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Cascade, son of Oral and Nona Martin Nichols. On March 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Joyce E. Teare in Galena, Ill.

Mr. Nichols was employed with Titus Manufacturing, Waterloo, for 24 years prior to his retirement, and for CNS Auto for the last 4 years.

Survived by: his wife of Waterloo; two daughters, Linda Jacob of Jonesboro, Ark., and Shelly Kirby of Waterloo; a son, Richard of Jonesboro, Ark.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Private family memorial services: will be held at a later date. Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, is assisting the family.
