RAYMOND - Marie Ann Sachs, 79, of Raymond, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Raymond, daughter of Robert and Mary Wittry Conrad. She married Merle Walter Sachs on July 18, 1953, in Raymond. He died May 10, 1988.

Mrs. Sachs graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1945.

Survivors include four daughters: Sue (Lance) Brown of Dallas, Mary Kay (Randy) Kane of Raymond, Kathy (Steve) Frampton of Gilbertville and Lori (Larry) Corkery of Jesup; nine grandchildren: Heather (Edward) Luhman, Kim (Jim) Sharp, Kristen Kane, Emily Kane, Jenna Frampton, Collin Frampton, John Corkery, Ross Corkery and Lee Corkery; three great-grandchildren: Hunter Luhman, Caden Sharp and Mackenzie Sharp; a sister, Anita (Milo) Russell of Raymond; and four brothers: Robert and Louis (Theresa) Conrad, both of Raymond, and Bill (Carole) and Jim (Marva) Conrad, both of Washburn.

Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Francis (Mike) Hollar; and two sisters-in-law, Clarice and Pat Conrad.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Raymond, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
