WATERLOO - Margaret M. O'Connor, 90, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Blencoe, daughter of John and Anna Cullinan O'Connor. She was a graduate of Independence High School and was employed in the cash office at J.C. Penney Co. in Waterloo for 34 years, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include 13 nieces and nephews, Marilyn (Richard) Weber, Dennis (Karen) O'Connor, Thomas (Mary) O'Connor, Kevin (Sharon) O'Connor, Ann (Earl) Buller, Sister Susan O'Connor RSM, Peggy (Rick) Mott, Cate (Rick) Grout, Maureen (Jake) Howe, Mary Kay (Jerry) Horner, Bob (Linda) Crowley, Steve (Jeanine) Crowley and Dick (Peg) O'Connor; numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Freda O'Connor of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by two brothers, John O'Connor and Maurice (Mary Jane) O'Connor; a sister, Catherine (Walter) Crowley; and two nephews, 1st Lt. Michael O'Connor and Jim Crowley.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo, with inurnment in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Independence. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.
