Services for Mrs. Russell DeGon, 91, of 668 Sheridan Rd,, who died at St. Francis Hospital Sunday night of complications of age, are pending at Locke Funeral Home.

She was born Mae M. Banton in Chamberlain, S.D. April 30, 1884, the daughter of Herman and Clare Stiles Banton. She married Russell L. DeGon Nov. 4, 1906, in Waterloo.

Her grandfather was the first physician in Waterloo and she was formerly the secretary of Russell Lamson who owned the Russell Lamson Hotel. She was a charter member, past matron and 50 year member of the Becker Chapter 499 Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member, 50 year member and past high priestess of Bethany White Shrine No. 9.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Ruby of 668 Sheridan Rd.; two brothers. Dr. Oscar H. Banton of Charles City and John W. Banton of Central Bridge, N.Y.; and two sisters, Mrs. V. M. Harsha of Des Moines and Mrs. William C. Webb of 1019 W. Mullan Ave.

Friends may give memorials to Trinity Epsicopal Parish in her name and may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
