Eunice Grace Loftus, 92, of Evansdale died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center from natural causes.

She was born November 9, 1915 in Akin, Minnesota, daughter of Harvey and Hanna Adams Butts. Eunice was reared by her mother and step-father William Bill Schirck. She married Thomas Aloysius Loftus on October 8, 1934 in Minneapolis MN. He died July 22, 1992. Eunice was a sales rep for Stanley Products and was a charter member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Evansdale.

Survivors include four sons: Ed and Kenneth (Sharon) both of Evansdale, Larry (Cheri) of Waterloo, and Terry (Betty) of Elk Run Heights; two daughters Kay Knebel of Elk Run Heights and Nancy (Paul) Jungen of Evansdale; a son-in-law, Clayton Phillips of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Jan Loftus Ahlhelm of Evansdale; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by one son, Michael Loftus; two daughtersm Patsy Phillips and Pamela Loftus in infancy; a son-in-law Lug Knebel; two daughters-in-law, Lois Loftus and Barbara Loftus; two grandchildren, Richard Loftus and Jody Gerstenkorn; one brother, John Schirckm one sister Lois Drickman.

Services will be 10:30 a.m Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt.Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church on Monday.
