WATERLOO — Donna R. Hickman Federspiel, 75, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 27, at Western Home Communities’ Stanard Assisted Living Center.

She was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Marshalltown, daughter of Marion C. and Lois M. Koehler Long. She married Larry Hickman on Sept. 9, 1961, in Preston, Minn., and they later divorced. She married Nicholas J. Federspiel on Feb. 20, 1999, in Waterloo.

She graduated from Grundy Center High School. She was employed with Grundy National Bank and then as office and business manager with John Deery Sr. Motors for 20 years, retiring in 1988. In retirement, she worked in real estate and investing. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls.

Survived by her husband; a son, Greg (Kathy) Hickman; a stepson, Rusty (Heather) Federspiel of Independence; two stepgrandsons, Andrew and Henry Federspiel; and a sister, Beverly Graves.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Darrel and Jerry Long.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.

Donna will be remembered as part of the Sunday worship at 9:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls.
