George Colvin Jr., 76, of 3302 Marjorie Lane, died at home Wednesday, March 10, 1993, of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Waterloo, son of George and Edna Moore Colvin. He married Bernice Struckmeyer in October 1938 in Waterloo. They were divorced.

Mr. Colvin was employed at Rath Packing Co. for 47 years, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include a son, Donald W. Sr., of Waterloo; two daughters, Patricia A. Will of Grundy Center and Nancy Becker of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Warren of Cedar Falls and Earl of Las Vegas; a sister, Gertrude Betz of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Billy, Donald, Acie, John, Floyd and Arthur.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.
