Services for George Colvin Sr., 86, of 3302 Marjorie Lane, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home with burial in the Garden of Memories.

He died Friday morning at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Colvin was born Aug. 9, 1893, in Waterloo, the son of Acie and Henrietta Pettit Colvin. He married Edna Bertha Moore in September of 1912 and she died in 1960.

Surviving are five sons: Acie Colvin of 2611 Lafayette St., George Colvin Jr. of 3302 Marjorie Lane, Donald Colvin of Blackfoot, Idaho, Earl Colvin of 1829 Bourland Ave., and Warren Colvin of 1118 W. 8th St., Cedar Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Coleman Betz of 3303 Covina Drive; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Stewart of San Francisco, Calif.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
