Eulalia was born May 21, 1914, in Galesburg, Iowa the daughter of Phillip and Daisy Rohdanz Zickel.

She was united in marriage to John Henry Kloostra on July 14, 1935, in Newton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1988.

Eulalia was a homemaker through her adult years, and also volunteered her time to the Red Cross. She was very involved in activities at the College Hill Lutheran Church, where she was a charter member. She enjoyed quilting and shared her talent with others in a weekly quilting group at an area church. Eulalia also loved playing cards.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Leon and Christy Kloostra of Rowlett, TX; five grandchildren, David (Patty) Kloostra of Illinois, Perry (Sheryl) Sievert of Iowa, Todd (Kathy) Sievert of Texas, Troy (Heidi) Sievert of Iowa and Kathy (Michael) Evans of North Carolina; 11 great grandchildren, Michael, Adam, Krisia, Riley, Emily, Aubree, Bryan, Kyle, Tyler, Clayton, and Kirsten; and one step-great-great grandson, Carter.

Eulalia died Friday, July 20, 2007 at the Mercer House in Rowlett, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Duane Kloostra; four brothers, Clarence, Melvin, Everett and Lloyd; and a sister, Lila Sallade.
