Lillian May "Lilly" Smith Bandfield

Services are pending for Mrs. John Bandfield, 74. of Rt. 3, Cedar Falls, at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home, who died Friday at 6:25 a.m. at the Stevens Nursing Home. Cause of death was attributed to complications of a stroke.

Born in South Dakota in 1892 to Asa and Barbara Radish Smith. She married John Bandfield here Dec. 21, 1911. Mrs Bandfield lived in Waterloo since her marriage.

Survivors are her husband and five sons: William 816 Second Ave., Evansdale, Robert, Portland, Ore., John, Huntington Beach, Calif., Lyle, Kyburg, Calif., Lloyd, Rt. 3, Cedar Falls; and two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Lamfers, 803 Arbutus Ave., and Mrs. Harriet Mellen, Moberly, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, two daughters, one son, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at O'Keefe & Towne after 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral services for Mrs. John Bandfield, 74, will be tomorrow at 1:30 p. m. at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. The Rev. David Moore, pastor of the Walnut St. Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Midwest Garden of Memories. Mrs. Bandfield, of Rt. 3. Cedar Falls, died Friday morning at the Stephens Nursing Home, 416 South St.. of complications following a stroke.
