WATERLOO — Harold W. Fredrick, 91, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Star Prairie, Wis., son of Robert and Emma Schlaach Fredrick. He married Florence Kendrich in 1946, and they were later divorced.

Mr. Fredrick served in the Army during World War 11. He was a dairy farmer in Wisconsin before moving to Waterloo in 1965 and working at the Parks Department, retiring in 1984.

Survived by a son-in-law, Rick Welcher of Waterloo; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Jean Welcher; a son, Warren Fredrick; six brothers, Walter, Arthur, Leo, William, Erwin, and Fred; and six sisters, Ida, Dora, Jenny, Hulda, Irene and Bertha.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
