WATERLOO — Dale W. Lee, 80, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born June 2, 1932, in Dupree, S.D., son of Ted and Doris Perkins Lee. He married Joan Kennedy on June 27, 1952, in Waterloo.

He graduated from West High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Navy and Iowa Army National Guard. Mr. Lee was a metallurgist for Deere & Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1985.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Pamela (Ron) Pearson of West Hartford, Conn., and Rhonda Ersland of San Francisco; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Sid (Jennifer) of Randleman, N.C., and Lyle (Ruth) of Clarksville; and a sister, Ginger Hood of Spokane, Wash.

Preceded in death by a brother, William.

Family-directed memorial services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
