JESUP — John D. Brasch, 90, of Pharr, Texas, formerly of Jesup, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital, McAllen, Texas, of natural causes.

He was born July 3, 1911, in Waterloo, son of Alvin E. Brascb and Pearl Norman. Mr. Brasch farmed in the Dunkerton and Jesup area, and worked for Members Mutual Oil Co. of Waterloo until retirement.

Survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Neil of Piano, Texas, and Kent of Vancouver, Wash.; a daughter, Patricia Gallup of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two children; and a grandson.

Memorial services were Thursday at Winter Haven Village, Pharr. Kreidler Funeral Home, McAllen. was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed in his name to the charity of the donor's choice.
