William, Weir Jr., 37, of Chicago, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, at Hines Veteran's hospital, Chicago, of malignant hypertension.

Mr. Weir was born June 27 1916, in Jesup, the son of W. H. and Juanita Rotten Weir. He graduated from West High school and served with the air corps during World War II. He married Leonette Hunt in Chicago on Oct. 22, 1950. The couple had made their home in Chicago since.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert; one daughter, Rosa Lynn; his parents of 601 West llth St., and three sisters, Mrs. Maxine Holmquist, Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Margaret Weir, 601 West llth St., and Mrs. Beverly Polikowsky, Houston, Tex.

The body will arrive at Kearns-Dykeman Funeral Home Friday evening where funeral services are tentatively set for Monday.
