WATERLOO — James C. “Jim” Clark, 71, of Clinton, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton.

He was born in Waterloo on Sept. 30, 1941, son of Harry and Mae Burns Clark. He married Coleen Scanlan on Jan. 7, 1967, in Clinton. He later married Jeaninne Senneff on Feb. 26, 1988, in Clinton.

He graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy, Waterloo, in 1959. He was employed with A.C. Nielsen for 26 years. He and his family owned and operated McKinley Street Taverne from 1989 to 1997 and Mc Swiggins Bar and Grill from 1999 to 2001. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survived by his wife, Jeaninne; two sons, Jeff (Katie) and Dave, both of Clinton; a stepson, Tim Conley of New Mexico; five grandchildren, Jeff, Sara, Kelly, Kyle and Kasey; a stepgranddaughter, Mary Jo Conley; a great-granddaughter, Zaylee; three sisters, Patty (Jim) Swain of Sun City West, Ariz., DeDe DeForest of Murrieta, Calif., and Sharon (Joe) Myers of Waterloo; a brother, Larry (Nancy) of Henderson, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services: 4 p.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, preceded by a gathering of family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. In following his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date.

Jim enjoyed golfing, bowling and socializing.
