Services for Frank Joseph Nicholas, 70, of 1526 Jefferson St., will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. There will be graveside military rites by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623.

Mr. Nicholas died of a heart attack Monday morning at his home.

He was born March 19, 1913, at Buffalo, N.Y., son of Fred and Magdelena Albiez Nicholas. He married Dora Towne June 1, 1935, at Cedar Rapids. He served in the Army during World War II, and was employed by Rath Packing Co. for 26 years retiring in 1975.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lynda Folks of 833 E. Ridgeway Ave. and Mrs. Carole Lindsey of Kennewick, Wash.; two grandchildren; four brothers: George, Ernest and Fred Nicholas, all of Stuart, Fla., and James Nicholas of 2120 Grand Blvd.; and a sister, Mrs. Albert Weires of Ocala, Fla,

There will be a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Opppld Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2 p.m.; Wednesday.
