Services for Roland M. Brown, 68, 705 Nevada St., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oakhill Cemetery, New Hartford. He died of a heart attack at 11:15 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1915, at Waterloo, son of Ben H. and Ida Krueger Brown. He married Eva Hoffman Jan. 4, 1946, at St. Louis.

He was a serviceman for Iowa Public Service Co. for 45 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy in the Pacific.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Buster Dean Brown of 515 W. 18th St., Cedar Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Jane Moes of 2438 Hawthorne Drive, Cedar Falls; a sister, Mrs. Cleo Schroedermeier of Plainfield; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
