WATERLOO — Jeffrey Thomas Gossman, 46, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 6, 2013, near Readlyn.

He was born Sept. 22, 1966, in Cedar Falls, son of Claude Anthony and Janice Mae Weber Gossman.

He graduated from Wapsie Valley High School, Fairbank, in 1985, and from Loras College, Dubuque, in 1989. Mr. Gossman was the chief financial officer for Warren Transport Co., Waterloo. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein.

Survived by his parents of Readlyn; two brothers, Jody (Heidi) of Shawnee, Kan., and Mark (Mary) of Webster, Wis.; two sisters, Candice (Jamie) Fettkether of Cedar Falls and Carrie (Steve) Quirarte of Kansas City, Mo.; seven nieces; and two nephews.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Rita Weber; and paternal grandparents, Clodius and Helen Gossman.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein, with burial at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, where there will be a 7 p.m. parish Scripture service.

Memorials may be given in his name to the March of Dimes.

Jeff loved watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.
