WATERLOO — Donald P. “Don” Weber, 87, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born March 3, 1926, on the family farm near Gilbertville, son of Walter and Elizabeth Weyland Weber. He married Betty Lou Ellis on Oct. 11, 1952, in Arkansas. She died June 26, 1999.

He was employed at Rath Packing Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He also worked as a painter. Mr. Weber was a World War II Army Veteran and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Survived by two daughters, Cyndee Rademacker (Al Taylor) of Independence and Tangee (Barry) Urban of Waterloo; a son, Baree (Sandra) of La Porte City; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters: Bernadette Fischels of Gilbertville, Marcella Moore of Waterloo and Betty Lou Moran of Evansdale; two brothers, Edward (Sharon) and Gerald (Pat), both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Koree J. Weber in infancy; four sisters: Lorraine in infancy, Armella Immel, Dorothy Frost and Theresa Smith; and brothers Robert in infancy, Fritz, James and Raphael Weber.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and the Iowa Army National Guard Honors Detail. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
