WATERLOO — Dena N. Noelting, 84, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Allen Hospital of respiratory failure.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1918, in Butler, County, daughter of Peter and Dena Walters Weichers. She married Kenneth Noelting Bee. 25, 1944, in Kelsey, and he preceded her in death in February 1984.

Mrs. Noelting was a member of Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church where she was very active in church affairs.

Survived by two sons, Jim (Sandy) Noelting of Cedar Falls and David (LaDonna) Noelting of Waterloo; a daughter, Jacquelin L. Jensen of Waterloo; a brother, Donald "Bud" Weichers of Aplington; a sister, LaVerda Kressig of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Julie (Eric) Ritland, Kristen, Matthew, Molly, Jared, Adam and Lauren Noelting; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Janee Petersen; three brothers, Richard "Dick," John and Raymond Weichers; and three sisters: Anna Miller, Hazel Goodsell and Bernice DeVore.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the-family, and memorial funds will be established.
