Peter Sorenson, 87, of Western Aye., died at St. Francis Hospital Monday at 9:45 p.m. of a liver disorder. He had been ill for several weeks and a patient at the hospital since Wednesday.

He was born in Denmark on Oct. 18, 1867. He came to the United States in his youth, living in Pennsylvania for several years. He then moved to Black Hawk County, and was a resident here for about 70 years, doing farming and carpentry.

Mr. Sorenson married Alice Pryor at Cedar Falls in 1888. She preceded him in death in 1933.

He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, and a member of the Fred Willier Camp 11, United Spanish War Veterans. He was a Lutheran

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Sorenson, at home, and Mrs. Josephine O'Brien, of Chicago; a grand-daughter, and four great-grandchildren.

The body is at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel pending funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Peter Sorenson, 87, of 820 Western Ave., who died of a liver disorder Monday, will be Thursday at 2:30 p. m. at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel. The Rev. M. O. Herder, assistant pastor of Trinity American Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Members of Fred Wilier Post No. 11, United Spanish War Veterans, will conduct the services.
