Mrs. Herman Holder, 47, of 1401 Baltimore itreet, died of carcinoma of the lung at 12:25 p. m Sunday at St Francis Hospital.

She was born Marie Margareta Schwab, Feb. 20, 1903, in Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of John and Barbara Schwab. She came to this county in September, 1923, and settled in Sumner, Ia.

She married Herman Holder July 13, 1929, in Waterloo and had lived here ever since.

Mrs. Holder was a member of Trinity American Lutheran Church.

Survivng are the husband; one daughter, Betty, at home; one son, Donald, at home, one brother, John Schwab, 718 Wallgate Avenue, and three sisters in Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters.

The body is at Locke Funeral Home where funeral arrangements are pending.
