Harry A. Aelmans
Cedar Falls, IowaHarry was born April 19, 1908, in Weert, Holland, The Netherlands, the son of Henry and Anna C. (van den Hurck) Aelmans.
On January 11, 1934, he was united in marriage to Margaret M. Boysen at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. She died March 17, 1998. He was the 2nd of 3 generations to own and operate Aelman's Greenhouse, retiring in 1990. He was well known around the area for his tomato and cabbage plants.
Survived by his son, Harrison (Betty) Aelmans of Cedar Falls; daughter, Mary Ann (Bernie) Digman of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Eva (Dave Manzer) Aelmans-Manzer of Sacramento, CA, John A. Aelmans of Waterloo and Jason (Ann) Digman of Minneapolis, MN and great grandchildren, Emily and Kate Manzer of Sacramento, CA and Evan and Kyle Digman of Minneapolis, MN.
Harry died Monday, December 6, 2004, at the Western Home Communities-Martin Center in Cedar Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Mary Cunningham.
