Amanda was born on August 25, 1982, the daughter of Cecil Kevin and Katherine L. (Hartman) Edsill in Britt, Iowa. She was a graduate from Dike New Hartford High School in January 2001. She was employed with Qwest for three years before working at APAC as a customer service representative. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Cecil and Katherine of Gilbertville; one brother, Lukas Edsill of Waterloo; one half-sister, Etten Edsill of Battle Mountain, Nevada; her maternal grandparents, Tom and Claudia Hartman of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Amanda died on Tuesday, April 26, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Marvel Edsill.

There will be a pot-luck gathering at the home of Amanda's parents, 7540 Ness Road in Gilbertville, from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. on Monday, May 2, 2005. Memorials may be directed toward the family, P.O. Box 614 Gilbertville, Iowa 50634.
