Mrs. Margaret Barta, 75, of 721 Fowler St., was dead on arrival at St. Francis Hospital about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at her home.

Mrs. Barta was born Dec. 31, 1889, in Bohemia, Europe, now part of Czechoslovakia.

She married Vincent Barta in Marshall County in 1907.

Survivors include three sons; Vincent, 2626 Saratoga Dr.; Edward, 1901 Cornwall Ave., and Harry, 310 E. 3rd St.; a daughter, Mrs. H. L. Geick of Indianapolis, Inc.; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Peters of Askov, Minn.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Barta was preceded in death by her parents, and husband in 1944.

Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday.
