Private services for Mrs. Amanda C. Pieper, 80, of 1202 W. 7th St., will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Mrs. Pieper died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital of cancer.

Born March, 24, 1886, in Bremer County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Engelking, she was married to Henry W. Pieper in October, 1927, in Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Pieper was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Survivors inciude two daughters, Mrs. Roger Brunn, 1032 Vine St., and Mrs. Ralph Schultz, 191 Hampshire Rd.; three sisters: Mrs. Henry Bernett, 151 Crestview, Mrs. George Hertlein, 821 Baltimore St., and Mrs. Walter Meyer, 1010 South St.; one brother, Arthur Engelking, Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren and nine-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and husband.
