Jacob Huppert, Pioneer Farmer,
Expires After Long Illness of
Cancer of Stomach

WASHBURN - Jacob Huppert, living two miles west of this place, who has been suffering from cancer of the stomach for some time, died at 2 p. m. yesterday.

Mr. Huppert was on of the pioneer residents of the county, living most of the time near La Porte City. About three years ago he moved to his present location. He was 62 years of age at the time of his death.

Deceased leaves ten children, most of whom are grown up. His aged wife also survives him.

The funeral services will be held from the home Sunday and the burial will be in the La Porte cemetery.

Deceased was one of the most popular farmers in the southern part of the county, having a host of friends who will, sympathy sincerely with the grief stricken family.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 o'clock at the home.
