WATERLOO — Jane Lawson, 95, of Friendship Village, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Lakeview Landing.

She was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Cincinnati, daughter of Leo E. and Nan Oldham Knaebel. She married Ralph M. Lawson on July 19, 1952, in Fort Thomas, Ky. He died Nov. 11, 1983.

Mrs. Lawson graduated from Highlands High School, Fort Thomas, in 1935, and from the University of Cincinnati in 1939. She taught in Fort Thomas schools from 1940 to 1958, then taught at Irving Elementary and Greenbrier Elementary, both in Waterloo, retiring in 1979. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by special friends, Bob (Laurie) Griffin of Des Moines and Bob (Lorraine) Reeves and Maxine Stone, all of Waterloo

Preceded in death by a brother, William Knaebel; and an infant sister, Hilda.

Memorial services: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship Village Chapel, Waterloo, with burial in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Ky. Arrangements by Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church or Friendship Village Foundation.
