WATERLOO - Gary Lee Blackledge, 48, of Verona, Mo., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday Jan. 2, 2002, at home from complications following surgery

He was born May 18, 1953, in Waterloo, son of James and Louise Gumm Blackledge. He was employed as a carpenter He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survived by his wife, Connie of Colorado; two sons, Rex of Aurora, Mo., and Eric of San Diego; a grandson; three brothers: Jim and Tom, both of Waterloo, and Fred of Iowa City; his stepmother, Ruby Blackledge of Cedar Falls; and his former wife, Sharon Blackledge of Aurora.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John.

Memorial services were Jan. 12 at Clio Church Community Center, Jenkins, Mo.
