WATERLOO - Myron D. Melendy, 94, of Ravenwood Health Care Center, formerly of 132 Greenwood Ave., died at the center Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 25, 1902, in Waterloo, son of Louis and Emma Ginger Melendy. He married Thelma Reed on June 23, 1928, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, and they were later divorced.

Mr. Melendy was employed as a set-up man in the Special Parts Division at Deere & Co., retiring in 1966.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Margaret Melendy of Waterloo; three grandchildren: Sharon Melendy of Marengo, L. Robert and Lezlie Melendy, both of Tampa, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Laine Becca Melendy and Danniele Mc Neil Melendy, both of Tampa.

He was preceded in death by a son, Louis Melendy, on Dec. 29, 1987; a sister, Agnes Pearl Wood, on Nov. 14, 1967.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery chapel, with burial in the cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at O'Keefe & Towne-grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the cemetery chapel.
