CEDAR FALLS- Jerell G. Janssen, 69, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, October 17, 2008, at the Clarinda Regional Hospital.

He was born August 13, 1939 in Parkersburg, the son of Chris and Diedricka Schurman Janssen. He married Linda Smith on September 18, 1970, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Janssen was employed in maintenance with Hinson Manufacturing.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of the Cedar Falls; a nephew, Carl (Melodie) Janssen of Cedar Falls; and many other nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cornelius Janssen; and a sister, Elenor Brocka.

Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

No memorials have been designated.
