WATERLOO - Vivian L. Thuesen, 92, of Waterloo, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at the Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born August 20, 1916 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Herbert and Martha Petersen Larsen. She married Adolph F. Thuesen on January 30, 1935 in Galena, IL. He died February 6, 1991.

Mrs. Thuesen was a homemaker through her adult life. She and Adolph loved to fish, and in their retirement years they enjoyed traveling the country and overseas.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Rick and Sarah Thuesen of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Evalena McCann of Harlingen, TX; and a son-in-law, Ronald Cooley of Papillion, NE.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepfather, Christian V. Danielsen; daughter, Shirley L. Cooley; son, Gary K. Thuesen; and brother-in-law, Donald McCann.

Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home (266-3525).

Memorials may be directed to the church.
