CEDAR FALLS - Lee Edward Dix, 80, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Sartori Memorial Hospital Cedar Falls of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 4, 1916, in Bristow, son of Henry F. and Mary Ellen Roberts Dix. He married Violet Elizabeth Good Nov. 30, 1935, in Marshalltown.

Mr. Dix worked on a dairy farm in the Cedar Heights area and also farmed in the Parkersburg and Charles City areas. He worked for Deere & Co, Waterloo for 32 years, retiring in 1976.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Dawn Powell of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Reams of Tucson. Ariz, and Eileen Smith of Waterloo; and three brothers, Donald of Cedar Falls Duane of Aplington and Kenneth of Saddle Brook, Ariz.

Preceded in death by a sister, Helen Ruthinberg; and a brother, Lloyd Dix.

Services: 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, Waterloo, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, with the family present from 2 to 6 p.m. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Grace Brethren Church or the Western Home, Cedar Falls.
