WATERLOO - Elsie Roby, 74, of 1038 Ash St., died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Quincy, Fla., daughter of Mitchell L. and Lillie Akiens Campbell. She married Willie D. Roby in March 1946 in Waterloo.

Mrs. Roby was formerly employed by Standard Distributing Co.

Survived by her husband; a daughter, Lorene Perry of Pasadena, Calif.; two sons, Andy of Waterloo and Harold of Riverside, Calif.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Barto Campbell of Waterloo and the Rev. Mitchell Campbell of Quincy; and two sisters, Elizabeth Robison and Helen Stevenson, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Campbell and Lillie Mae Campbell; and a brother, Henry Campbell.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, with burial in the Garden of Devotions section of the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Chapel committal services will be in the Temple of Memories. Friends may call at Sanders Funeral Service Monday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 1038 Ash St., where they will receive friends.
