Orvil Shepard
Cedar Falls, Iowa

Orvil was born October 13, 1915, in rural Clarksville, Iowa, the son of Benjamin H. and Angelia (Ranson) Shepard. On June 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Esther Marie Phares at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cedar Falls. She died August 27, 2000. He was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works in the welding and bonding department for 31 years.

He is survived by his sons, Howard W. (Yvonne) Shepard of Parkersburg and Calvin L. (Donna) Shepard of Broken Arrow, OK; four grandchildren, Chris, Melissa, Andrew and Sharon Shepard; and great grandchildren, Christian and Jasman Shepard.

Orvil died Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Viola Marie Shepard and brothers, Lester B. and Burra Shepard.
