Budd C. Probert, 91, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, September 28, 2004, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Budd was born November 8, 1912, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Arthur LeRoy and Minnie Maude (Starr) Probert. On July 24, 1937, he was united in marriage to Tresa Jean Chasky in Independence, IA. She died November 10, 1995.

He was employed at the Waterloo John Deere Tractor Works for 37 years in the Assembly Department, retiring in 1974. He did cement work with his father and uncle.

Budd is survived by his son, Larry Probert of Cedar Falls; daughters, Nancy (Joe) Hammer of New Hartford and Judy (Dennis) Obadal of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and sister, Hannah West of Huntington Beach, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Sharon K. and Cindy Sue Probert; and brother, Ed Probert. Graveside services 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2004 at Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo. Richardson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
