Frederick C. Zimmerman 1927-2003

Fritz was born November 30, 1927, in Waukon, Iowa, the son of Frederick Charles and Maria (Salberg) Zimmerman. On August 21, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ruth A. Patridge in Maynard, Iowa. He was a machinist at the John Deere Waterloo Engineworks for 27 years, retiring in 1983.

Fritz is survived by his wife, Ruth of Cedar Falls; son, F. Roger Zimmerman of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Jean A. (James) Harrenstein of Cedar Falls and Laurie A. (Mike) Johnson of Prairie du Chien, WI; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Wilma Brazell of Harpers Ferry and Mary Larson of Decorah.

Fritz died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at Walnut Court Apartments in Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Marilyn Jacobson.
