Iris V. Spilde

Iris was born January 7, 1923, in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Mary J. (Wolfe) Snapp. On December 27, 1940, she was united in marriage to Kermit Spilde.

She is survived by her husband, Kermit of Waterloo; daughters: Linda (Larry) McKinney of Cedar Falls, Mary (Dennis) Thurm of Denver and Susan Haurum of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren: Jeff McKinney of Des Moines, Pam (Dennis)Craun f Cedar Falls; Adam Thurm of Denver, Nichole Thurm of Chicago, and Angela and Michael Webb of Cedar Falls; two great grandchildren, Kayla and Daniel Craun of Cedar Falls; and sister, Ruth Helble of Cedar Falls.

Iris died Sunday, August 17, 2003, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.
