Hilda White

Hilda was born on January 26, 1909, the daughter of Ervin and Ionia (Baumgartner) Ahrens in Dumont, Iowa. She graduated from Dumont High School in 1927.

On May 28, 1930, she was united in marriage to Clifford E. White in Nashua, Iowa. They farmed by Dumont and later New Hartford before moving off the farm in 1950. She belonged to United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school for many years.

Hilda is survived by two sons, Maurice White of Waterloo, Paul (Lisa) White of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Maurine Jaquis of Parkersburg, Kay White of Cedar Falls, Linda (Don) White of Tarkio, Missouri; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Dennis White; and one sister, Althea Santee.
