Cedar Rapids - Phyllis A. Olsen, 81, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at the Silver Pines Residential Living Community in Cedar Rapids.

She was born September 27, 1925, in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Howard Eugene and Mildred Marie (Stoner) Shepard. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1943. She married Merton J. Kramer in 1947 in Waterloo and were later divorced. She then married Kenneth C. Olsen July 24, 1969 in Fort Collins, CO. He died October 4, 1988. She was employed at the L'atelier Art Gallery in Cedar Falls and then Executive Director of the Black Hawk County March of Dimes.

Phyllis is survived by two daughters, Korby M. (Marty Cable) Kramer-Palmer and Jody (Gregg) Kramer-Wieck, both of Cedar Rapids; and six grandchildren, Chad Van Meter, Kadi Platt, Dana Palmer, Kara Platt, Chelsey Palmer, and Brennon Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 at St. Luke's Episcopal in Cedar Falls, with interment in the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Richardson Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Cedar Falls, Iowa, 50613 (319) 266-3525.
